College of Dentistry Library

Welcome to the UPCD Library

The Dentistry Library supports the teaching, learning, research and clinical services of the faculty, staff and students of the University of the Philippines College of Dentistry through its specialized collections and services. Its mission is to provide resources and access to the knowledge of dentistry, its practice and study as fully as possible, by continuously acquire, protect and preserve relevant collections. It offers services that are responsive to the information needs of its users.

Started in 1960 with a small collection of books and journals housed in one of the rooms that was built as an extension of the College of Dentistry in Padre Faura, Manila. There it remained until the College was relocated to its present building at Taft Avenue, cor. Pedro Gil Street where the Library moved in 2001.

The Library now houses a comprehensive collection of dentistry and related literature with more than 3,000 volumes while the periodical is about 140 titles. Online journals and books are also available in and off campus. Public access computers and tablets are available for academic purposes. A hot spot, well-lighted, air-conditioned room where students can do research and study in a comfortable manner.
